World at War

Privacy Policy

Effective 28 September 2026

World at War: Conflict Atlas is an iPhone and iPad app developed by Randy Ramos. This policy describes the app and this support website.

What the app keeps

The app has no accounts and no analytics of its own. The atlas, briefings, maps and narration are stored in the app. Settings you change — sound levels, your home country, which conflicts are shown — and whether you bought Remove ads are saved only on your device. We do not receive them, and deleting the app deletes them. Device backups may keep copies according to your backup settings.

Advertising

Version 1.0 contains no advertising or analytics software and collects no data. Starting with version 1.1, the app shows ads provided by Google AdMob: a banner under the map and occasional full-screen ads after a story or tour ends.

To deliver and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google’s advertising software in the app may process your IP address and the approximate location derived from it, device and app identifiers, the ads you see and tap, and crash and performance information about the ads. The app asks for your permission, through Apple’s prompt, before it may use your device’s advertising identifier to track you across other companies’ apps and websites; if you decline, ads are shown without it. Where the law requires consent (the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland), a consent message appears before ads are requested, and you can change your choice any time under About, credits & privacy › Ads › Ad privacy choices.

Google controls the information it processes under its own policies: see how Google uses information from apps that use its services and Google’s privacy policy. Deleting the app does not delete information Google has already processed; Google’s privacy resources explain its controls.

Remove ads

Remove ads is a one-time in-app purchase handled by Apple. We never see your payment details; Apple gives developers only sales reports. After the purchase the app stops showing and requesting ads.

Links

Source links in the briefings open the publisher’s website in a browser view. Those sites have their own privacy policies.

Children

The app is rated 13+ on the App Store and is not directed at children under 13.
